Forum signatures....

I searched for a topic regarding this but could not find anything. How do you guys make forum signatures here at these forums? Is anything allowed or not allowed? I could not find any forum rules or guidelines posted anywhere.

I tried making a signature, but it would not seem to take BBCode or HTML....what kind of code is allowed here? Thanks in advance.

The only thing they state with signatures is:

1) It cannot be deemed offensive to anyone. (Avoid real world religious and/or politics, and general slander and you'll be okay)
2) It must be within the dimensions they give when you go to edit your signature in your settings tab (in the upper right corner of the forum header)
3) You can use hide bar tags [hb][/hb ] however the expanded spoil must still be within the dimensions given
4) images can be added by using the [img]IMAGE URL HERE[/img ] (without that space before the close bracket)


Reference: the image in my signature is the max dimensions for a signature.

Where are these guidelines located?

It used to be somewhere in the forums (like a sticky) but not sure, but I do know that the forum will not let you save a signature that is too big/long, it will deny it and tell you the approved max size, iirc. (been awhile since I messed with my signature)

yeah, standard BBCode. Just like when posting in the forums.

I know for a fact you can't have more than 8-10 "lines".

Every time I try to edit my signature I have to be careful 'cause it keeps telling me it's too many lines, LOL.

Wish they wouldn't allow gifs, those attention whore sigs are the reason I disabled signatures on this forum. -.-

I think it's silly considering I see people with, quite honestly, huge signatures that are WAY bigger than a few lines of text would take up.

And I agree they should disable gifs, some of them are really obnoxious.
