Is there a way to increase the Chat NPC boxes

I've recently started playing FF14 again after dropping it for awhile and notice it looks like it still isn't possible to increase the NPC chat button size using any of the UI enlarge features. Is this still the general consensus and does anyone know if this request has been made to development as a formal enhancement? It seems odd that almost every UI element can be increased or decreased in size except the NPC chat boxes. (See picture)

One of the best parts of this game seems to be the story and how well the writing is for NPC characters. Anyone know how this can be increased? Thanks

There's a setting for the default scale of a UI element that's not otherwise sized. That may affect it.
