Final coil solo

Does anyone know when we can solo-queue into FCoB? I thought they were going to let us do this after the April 14th maintenance (2 weeks after patch 2.55) but that has not happened yet. Or do we have to wait until xpansion.

Coils usually don't become solo-DFable until the next coil (or Alexander in this case) is released. I bet we'll have to wait for 3.0, or at least a fair bit longer. And to be fair, why would you even want to at this point? ;) It's hard enough to find capable pug groups as it is, putting eight complete strangers together and expect them to do stuff like tether + charge right doesn't seem like a good idea until the community has had loads more time to learn.

that would not be smart considering the incoming 2 month of "nothing to do" before expansion. I expect them to open the gate with nerfs + echo within a 4 weeks frame from now, to allow everyone to clear if they want to.

You try pugging T9, see how that goes. ;) It's the same thing, really. Unrestricted DF does not "allow" people to clear any more than echo helps people do mechanics.

Have you just ignored the word "nerf" ? I really think they'll nerf T5 and T9 eventually to allow total strangers to clear it.

Also on a side note, T9 is only a problem on EU and NA datacenters. JP players have a high success chance in DF for pretty much everything.

I got my t9 clear in the DF. It took me days for the clear though, due to not having much experience in the divebomb phase.

In my opinion, giving people the option of clearing it in DF would help people who do not have statics and do not have the time to wait for an hour in PF for people to join a learning pt due to a lack of tanks/heals on their server.

there are lots of videos of T9 solo DF clears on JP servers.

Ok. There are some, lots are there not, and you don't know how many of that DF team maybe queued together.

Maybe I am wrong judging from my own experiences with T9 and DF, just the wording of "It took me days for the clear though", as if days were a long time to try, especially on DF, got me thinking.

I'm not at all against being able to solo queue it btw.

OP is on JP server, your NA/EU DF logics don't work here. You be surprised at the success rate of DF on JP server even if most people are solo queuing and not as a group
