I've been leveling alchemy so I can make a lot of the potions such as Sleeping potions, Ethers, Throat drops, etc. However, I was surprised to find that apparently they still only stack up to 12. I really don't understand why, of all the items, that the consumables would still only stack up to 12 (this goes for food as well).
In FFXI, I understood the stacks only going to 12 because the Auction House only allowed sales in either full stacks or single items, however because of the nature of the Market Wards, I really don't see the point in limiting these items to 12 per stack, it's a huge deterrent to the desire to make and use them because of how much inventory they'd take up if you wanted to stockpile any decent amount.
That being said, I don't know that much about the programming or server issue side of things, so I'm unsure if that's preventing this from being done. But in my opinion, if any items need their stack size increased, it's the consumable items.

What's interesting is that a while back most things only stacked to 12 or some other obnoxiously low number. They did a change where essentially everything stacks to 99 now, except for some of those items for whatever reason. I hope they'll reconsider those for a cap increase.

It better not just be potions and ethers. I'm sorry but distilled water stacks to 99 but mineral water stacks to 12? really? All crafted food stacks to 12 whereas things such as LOGS which are much bigger than most food portions stacks to 99? All items should stack to 99.
Simple rule if you don't wear it or wield it the item should stack to 99. Its just another case of making a change but only doing it half right.
