Midgardsormr? [Potential Spoilers]

I just fiished all of the main story, and i for the life of me seemed to have skipped a cutscene somewhere where it introduces him where he's following you around talking, as well as when Hydalein abandons you.

Like i said i usually never skip cutscenes but can someone in a brief explanation tell me what happened with these 2 instances.

the scene is after you beat Keeper of the Lake.
You can watch it in the inn room

Read your journal or watch the scenes in the inn room.

You can watch them from your Inn room.
