I don't understand Guild Tasks...

I'm trying to rank up and get guild marks and whatnot for my various DoH/DoL classes and yet the daily tasks are always something I have NO IDEA how to make/get.

Seriously how are we supposed to figure this shit out other than looking up things online?!

Am I just supposed to do a billion random Local Levequest's hoping I get the right recipe and that I just HOPE that I have the right materials?

I have all the materials for the recipe but all I get is "You cannot Synthesize with these materials"
My BSM is Rank 7.
