Do you think we will get new systems in 3.0?

Right now all they are telling us is kinda more of the same (More FATEs, More Leves, More Hunts, More Treasure hunts/ Tombstone etc.). Do you think we will get something different.

Like maybe something to do with the 4 Houses of Ishgard and us choosing a house to reside in and do missions in or even competing against each other.

Something different. Don't get me wrong I love that they are expanding the old stuff, but I kinda want something fresh. ( Hopefully they will tell us just that in the next live letter or at E3?)

I'd rather have them spend more time and resources making Alexander/Savage Alexander a great raid than adding other things that will be ignored immediately upon Alex's release.

Aren't they doing something new with Rowena? Where you bring things to her? That's newish I guess

For the Gathering/Crafting end-game stuff is great I love that they are doing something for those who love to only Gather/craft.

@ Zaft- It depends on how they implement it, the rewards they give and the replay value it has. Raids are geared towards people that like really hard stuff. Something that is difficult but manageable for everyone to do.

Having them focus too much on 1 thing can be a bad thing, I wanna do different activities, not spam Alex all day everyday. I just hope for something new. As far as I can see it Alex is more of the same as Coil, until they provide more details about it. Coil ( Going inside Bahamut), Alex going inside Primal. It's the same thing until more information is brought up.

This is the kind of short-sighted attitude that often results in MMOs having nothing to do... I would definitely rather they didn't pool all their resources into a single game element that a large number of players will never experience until it's obsolete.

SE has been pretty frugal with giving us information on the expansion thus far. All we have is very vague overviews. We know there are several new systems coming to crafting and gathering and it sounds like there may be some new evolution of the fate system on the way as well. Beyond that is anyone's guess. They've said we'll get more detailed information on what's coming in the run up to release so we can only wait and see really. I do agree though; we need something new to shake up gameplay a bit.

I am hoping for something innovative, different, etc. The airship thing with finding NM in different and special places sounds promising...but sounding and delivering are two different things...

My friends and I were talking about that too, the 4 houses and the things the devs could do with that. It has potential, that's for sure..

Do you mean right at launch of 3.0 or during the entire life span of the 3.xx series?

At launch, because I am sure there has to be new systems of sorts in an expansion.
