Is the shared hotbar problem ever going to be fixed?

I was just cleaning up my crafting hotbars recently and decided to use a shared bar because most of the time all the abilities are the same anyway. However, I found that the non-cross-class actions like Inner Quiet that are shared by every crafting class cannot be shared on the hotbar. Each action seems to be locked to the class it came from, so, for example, Weaver can't use Inner Quiet on a hotbar if the Inner Quiet was put there from Blacksmith's action list.

It seems the problem has existed for a long time now.

That's because each crafting classes uses a different Inner Quiet skill. It's hard for a BSM to learn the GSM Inner Quiet skill.

Yes that's because each skill has separate IDs. You need to pull them up by name instead.
If you make a macro that just uses a single skill and put it in the shared hotbar, it should fix the problem.. I haven't personally tested it myself, I just have all my crafters have identical skill layout on unshared hotbars instead.. But my experience with macros tell me that'll do the trick for ya.

Should be able to replace your Inner Quiet button on a shared hotbar and work across different classes

It's just a pain that identical abilities can't be used on the shared hotbars. I'm low on macro space as it is, so I'm not keen on making a full set just for individual abilities.

/hotbar copy "crafting class 1" #bar "crafting class 2" #bar

Then replace the class specific skills from crafting class 1 with the class specific skills from crafting class 2

Or you could make macros for each of the non-cross class skills, since they have the same name. An Inner Quiet macro will work for whatever DoH job you are on.
