They probably won't do this, but it was just an idea that popped in my head while I was going through the nostalgia phase. What do people think about a PVP mode where it was somewhat formatted in a similar style as Ballista from XI?
3 teams(Since PVP isn't open area), but 24 or 48 man. The number of kills you get are your points. 1 kill = 1 point. 2 kills = 2 points. etc or can work along of chain kills. 2 = 3, 3 = 5, etc. If you are killed with these points, then they are reset to 0. We -can- keep Battle Highs to retain the solo LBs. Killing people with Battle High/Fever will yield more points than a normal kill. 2 points for High. 3(4?) for Fever. Something along those lines.
Each GC has a Point in which they can 'Interact' with to 'Toss' in their points to contribute at any time. They can be interrupted any time should a player interfere. That's essentially the basis of it though. Kill and obtain points, score the points until time limit is out. Team with most points wins.

As I said, random fly by thought. It can be polished and reworked accordingly, but I was just seeing what people thought about it. There was just something about Ballista that worked, so I wondered if that -something- could work in XIV as well.
Now this can sound like Slaughter with just killing people for points(though most of these points also come from Drones, Nodes, Cubes, etc). It's really only half the objective. You can gather these points, but until you score them, they won't mean anything.

Hoping to see something like that, seems like a better upgrade of Slaughter mode, not so focused in the middle and not having to deal with monsters.
I seriously don't understand the mania of adding PvE factor to PvP, if there's no PvP factor in PvE.... And I mean... SEcure, in secure everyone wants you to camp, then go mid, kill nodes, go back camp.... That's not even proper PvP, come on... And if you go on your own wanting to kill ... "SNOWFLAAAKE!"
Luckily I only step into secure mode when roulette trolls me. -
