No Hope for RMT situation?

So it's a cycle isn't it, where no matter how hard Square Enix tries more bots and hackers are just gonna keep appearing? Is there no solution? I am a loyal person to FFXIV, and I beleive SE is trying hard. But maybe we can help them, pitch ideas for them Ya know. So guys, give every idea you can and let's hope SE hears us!

Ban the gilbuyers.

If no one buys gil the gilsellers won't have a reason to stay.

They need to introduce some sort of chat feature that flags up certain thing, RMT messages always look so similar.

Keep in mind you guys aren't talking to me, your talking to Square Enix, there are 4 million users on FFXIV, 4-3 million people, someone is bound to have an idea that would stop RMTs permanently. There has got to be someone with an idea so brilliant that not only will we thank them for it but SE will also be thankful for it. I think we can help Square Enix, and in doing so we would help each other!

I have a feeling they'll never crack down on this as much as they should. It's as simple as insta-banning everyone permanently. Buyers and Sellers alike. Zero tolerance. No second chances. You agreed to the Terms of Service; you break the RMT rules and you are done for good. You can sure bet people would stop buying gil if word got around that gil buyers were truly getting perma banned left and right.

The sad truth is that RMT are also active, paying, subscribers. As are the gilbuyers. SE: "Why perma ban these people when they are making us revenue? Just leave them be."

We've been given them ideas for over a year now. The ideas aren't implemented, our only proper tool against RMT is still /busy which is way overkill and heavily gets in the way of socializing or playing with other people. And no, it's not a cycle. It's not like SE is trying particularly hard to combat RMT.

One day SE is going to have to put this RMT on the very forefront of their list, and I think that day is when Heavensward comes out, when that day comes the servers are going to be overrun by RMT's, and gamers, but so many RMT's that in all likelihood the servers will collapse and the network as well. When that happens SE is gonna have a real issue, with losing real customers and restoring the servers. SE won't lose me as a customer but there are lots of people who will get fed up. Things will completely fall apart and they're gonna know why.

I've been able to keep busy off a lot lately on Behemoth... they do message me still but it's so much more tolerable. Whatever they banned last wave hit them good here.

They change bits of the messages every time to get around the filters, that why over the months, the messages have changed rather drastically, and they have to add in special chars, or use number as letters, and they have that random letter mix at the end too

These RMT threads sure do show up frequently. Where does this sound familiar?
