All my songs say party members but remain within hearing distance but how far is that? In a boss battle is that generally the entire boss area? Or do I need to be running over to the healer constantly when singing? Sometimes they have so many buffs on their name that it's hard to tell which one is mine since I'm on PS4 so can't just move the mouse over their buffs to check like on PC. Thanks!
If you're unsure, stay close to your healers (or whoever you're singing to) when you're signing Mage's Ballad and get closer to the boss when singing Paeon to make sure the melee players get it. Not sure about the exact range of songs sadly.

the radius is 20 yalms, and to put that into perspective, your attack range is 25 yalms.

I think a good way to test it out is when in a dungeon using Swiftsong. Pretty sure it has the same range as your other songs. See which distance you have to your fellow party members. And which ones have the buff and which ones do not :) Then I think you have a general idea about the range of your songs.
When I bring my bard to a dungeon and I'm going to sing Mages Ballad for example. I'll make sure I'm near the healer/other caster(s). Would be a good idea to memorize the icons of your songs, so you can see pretty quick which player benefits from it, and which one doesn't have the buff :)
Also if you move out of the distance foe for example does not benefit, and great idea from Elysaine about swiftsong
