Your character as background decoration <Spoilers>

All the awesome shit happening in the ending and your character not doing shit but getting pushed around by brass blades and seeing his friends die.

Discuss.
<just don't say anything about fighting would make you look guilty, or a good warrior shows restraint. your friends are dying>

So... Discuss... But don't make any arguments you don't like?

Edit:
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who actually liked the way my character acted in 2.55. It's exactly how 'my' character should have acted in that situation.

because those are stupid arguments... it would be a shame to argue about that. Lets talk about how our characters never do shit in cutscenes letting friends die and bad people achieve their plans as you're so proud to say your character would :3

If it was the way my character would have acted I'd be fine with it too. It just seems like a step backwards from the earlier storyline scenes with multiple responses/emotes.

Seeing as only the wandering minstrel can help give us an expanded/embellished telling(I'd laugh till it hurt if that did happen), I just hope they take using player involvement in mind for future content.

you know what, if they gave me a couple of cut scene options, even if they managed to make the outcome the same, i would be really satisfied. because the ending is great. is the part about my character not doing anything and getting pushed around by trash that i found un-creative.

So you think your character could win against a swarm of brass blade and crystal braves because.....? Also do you even know the implications for you to take action?

More option windows to choose 2-3 answers would be a good idea.
Also CS with option windows are not skippable (see opening CS), so this would be another plus point.

the option could be something like:
1. Surrender peacefully
2. Surrender with potest
3. Surrender with a swear
4. Parley

The end had a very stereotypical Japanese writing feel to it, the hero being pushed along by the subordinates to keep their hands from being sullied with the blood of innocents. It's a very NOT American way of thinking. In this instance your character fulfills the role of 'Lord' where the others are samurai. It's their duty to sacrifice their lives for you. You see it in anime/manga all the time. If it was ME I'd have said, "Screw it." and as soon as I was able I'd have filled the area with arrows, but being a loyal Gridanian I would have had nothing to lose and everything to gain. But that is a very American way of thinking and it does much to remember who made this game in the first place. It's not bad writing, I enjoyed it alot, it's just not American writing.

Honestly I haven't actually seen the scene in question, but aren't you being arrested by the people framing you? So whether you fight back or not doesn't actually matter, right? It's not like any of them said, "Aw damn, s/he didn't resist. Guess we gotta let him/her go." It's a Witch Hunt "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.

Because... it's canon? We're supposed to have gone into a Garlean base, defeating Gaius and Ultima Weapon alongside both his lieutenants. We've destroyed countless magiteks and broken the backs of primals. Even the 'company of heroes' struggled against merely fighting Titan, yet we've beaten all of them so far. We've even crossed swords with an Ascian, who by all story intents are basically immortal and incredibly powerful. A few goons with pointy sticks aren't exactly high on the threat-o-meter at this point.

Besides, having fought alongside them at numerous intervals we can honestly say they drop faster than a row of dominoes during a hurricane. Let's also not ignore the fact we'd be potentially fighting alongside every one of the scions. That's a force more powerful than the Brass Blades combined. They have more cause to fear us than we do of them. If anything, they should be the ones running from us.
