Please let us *really* ride airships

Hello, adventurers.

I read Yoshida-san's latest letter and I'm surprised that, if I understood correctly, we won't actually be able to ride airships, but there will only be two cutscenes for departure and arrival.

Now, I can understand that many adventurers would like to have a faster way to travel between cities... but this is way too fast, in my opinion...! :D

I'm opening this Topic because I don't see any plan to change this in patch 1.20 and 1.21, and I'd really like to properly ride an airship and enjoy my trip in Eorzea's skies with other adventurers. I had already imagined it and all, staring at the landscape and gazing upon sunsets and dawns from above, with a Great music in the background.

Will such a feature be implemented after patch 1.21?

As I'm sure other adventurers also have this desire, let the dev team hear your voice here if you wish.

He stated this pre 1.18 patch that initial airships are going to be insta travel per se and later they will put the world travel into the airship travel but it most likely won't show up prior to 1.21. Though I can assure you that yes we will eventually get to travel on the airships.

I'm slightly disappointed as well. :(
I thought we already had anima as fast travel option.

ah but this is an option so as not to waste anima.

I bet this is a cool feature and has to be enjoyed, but I'd like to see how the Cutscenes will occupy our time.
Also, like this it will be possible to have air pirates attacks in a random factor, so the Cutscenes will change and when the enemy is defeated we'll see another cutscene, and then we land.

Without Enemies:
Depart Cutscene -> Landing Cutscene

With Enemies:
Depart Cutscene -> Incoming Enemies Cutscene -> No More Enemies Cutscene -> Landing Cutscene

in the future with more content like airship battle, why not, but now let them work at what they have in hand.

i like this way standing there doing nothing for 7 mins is a waste of time

Think of it as free anima! It would save you at least 3 anima for the tele to the city. With airships and chocobos, I think we will have plenty of anima after 1.19

7 min is a bit much, I just want a minute long ride, maybe a bit longer if the scenery is amazing.
