I've been on for over 2 hours and i've only gotten 3 spams so far. I don't have /busy active and my blist log filled over a month ago again. Only spend 20 mins of it in a duty.
I don't see any shouts for it either. Did SE finally get ahead of them for a change?
I've received over a dozen after being logged in for like 30 minutes.

As soon I login I get a(or more) rmt tell. ..then I switch to busy mode as usual.
No differences here, either. The only silence comes when I'm in a duty. As soon as I'm out it's like someone opened the flood gates. -_-
I attribute the moments that I'm not getting hammered by RMT spam with the moments that my server is locked out of new characters getting created.
Not that minor fluctuations of tell spam make any difference anymore. I've given up using tells, they're apparently only for RMT now. I don't bother sending tells to other people, since even if they're not in /busy, it's a good chance that they have tells go to a separate tab with no sound (like I do), and my tell would go un-noticed.
I go into /busy to avoid friend invite spam and to make sure someone doesn't accidentally send a tell to me expecting me to respond.

I actually noticed that when logging in on Faerie. Usually I get spammed as soon as my character is in-game, but today it was a good half hour to forty five minutes before I got a tell from a gil spammer. After that it kinda got increasingly worse as the night wore on... Too bad.
Me and my friend have had a vast amount of RMT sellers spamming us today, more so than in the past 6 months so if it's quiet on your server maybe it is because they are spamming our server instead.
