Alexandrite stop dropping from FATEs

I've have been clearing fates for 2-4 hours a day over the last week or so for Alexandrite with my Novus Holy Shield and Animus Curtana as a paladin but I have not received a single drop. Before I upgraded the shield from Animus to Novus I was receiving at least 1 alexandrite a day from FATES. The prior week I earned 22 from a mix of Fates and daily roulette. I wanted to know if this was normal, and i have poor luck, or a bug due to the fact that I am not using Animus Main and Offhand?
