Interesting Achievements

I would love to an overhaul of the current achievements.

For starters: you should not get an achievement for exploring a HM dungeon, or raid - you should get it for defeating the boss.

Secondly there should be more skillful achievements, such as 'Defeat Titan without any member getting hit by plumes' or 'Defeat snake in T1 after letting him merge'.

WoW had these for each duneon/raid tier (iir). A nice addition to XIV imo :)

Actual skill based achievements!

If that happened then I would hope to find enough people to form an achievement-seeking linkshell so we could organise completing the content in those specific ways.

In a way I am glad there are just plain achievements for basic progression so I don't need to rely on others going the extra mile for skill points.

I've never seen this in regard to the optional achievements in other games. 'Link X to join', sure!...but that exist in XIV (No extra sold.)

Never did I see link 'Defeat X boss while having X stacks while not getting hit by X' achieve.

I'm leery of achievements based on other people's performance.

As for the dungeon achievements, while I can see your point, its largely nitpicking, and not really something that requires a change.

You already get a reward for beating a boss. I like that the achievement rewards doing it as a complete run. There's far too few people doing complete runs in this game.

The closest to this would be 1.0 Garuda.

The ONLY way to satisfy the requirements to get Garuda's relic drop was for nobody in your party to die. at all.
