Difference between FATEs and Water Sprite Spiritbonding

Is the difference between FATEs and Water Sprites really that big when it comes to spiritbonding when we take into account the following factors:

- GC Seals
- Alexandrite
- Lights
- More fun / less mindnumbingly boring

Personally, I've never tried Water Sprites bonding but I've done some bonding sessions in N Thanalan and I liked the results, as a crafter/gatherer, I love getting the GC Seals for my moonstones/lucis tokens/cordials and even Spiritbonding Potions, so I don't think doing this with Water Sprites would be benefitial.

How much difference are we talking about here? Considering I'd have a Spiritbonding Potion and a Better Crowned Pie at all times.

depends on the party setup of your N Than group. If you don't have a lot of AOE claims/kill credit it's not going to go as fast (Gold Status on a Fate alone doesn't mean you're SBing effectively).

At the same time though if are seeing a lot of kill credit, it's probably faster.

But only on those large quantity mobs fates. The nice thing about urth's gift is not needing a conventional party. Just a few whms and maybe a bard for foes. And no down time.

That and I have hard luck finding a party in N Than willing to kill the mobs near DD spawn during downtime. Most want to just idle in Cereleum camp

The fastest sb is reached at +10level. Watersprites are lvl50, they are the best for gears around lvl40. To spritbind i45+, I usually run Castrum, Amdapor, wanderer ´s palace. When i both use i40 and i48/49 gear against watersprites, by the time the i40 is done, my i48 is still around 20/25%. Should give you a rough idea of the différence.
