About NPC Companion

Is there any new info about the npc we get at the start for story quest?

Theres one thing that i havent read about it, i really wish that the npc could be summoned to help us out in whatever we want like in FF XI, if you are doing a leve would be fun and helpful to have it on your side to fight with you, i dont mind power leveling that npc from r1 to r50, and be able to change his/her class and be able to give gear.

And of course upgrade the AI so if you have a gladiator as companion because you are a mage or an archer or whatever you want he/she can provoke the mob at least once per fight and keep doing dmg if it gets to 0hp it dispawns and you have a wait timer to call it back again idk 1hr or so.

What do you guys think about that?
