which desynth class help please

So i'm at a loss i dunno what class to pick as 3rd

I have goldsmith and blacksmith now im thinking for the third
weaver or leatherworker?
Im looking at usefull to get demi materias and other mats to craft with but alo little profit in gil would be nice.


any info advise is really appreciated thank you

Is your main a cloth, leather, or plate wearer?
Take the class(WVR, LTW, ARM) that supports your main, so when the xpac hits, you can need roll gear for desynths as you level to 60. For this reason alone, I went GSM, BSM, ARM( my main is WAR)

just where do you get stuff to desynth with ARM though? Gear type and desynth class doesn't correlate very well. I get a lot of healer gear from ST and they require LTW to desynth not WVR.



Desynth changes constantly, so imo, I'd just go with whatever's making the most money atm which I think is LTW.
Come Heavensward, it could all change of course, so just go with what's profitable right now and plan on changing later.

I'd go with LTW just because it's quite profitable right now and has a nice spread across different combat gear.

Darklight Tank gear, Hero's Tank gear, Allagan Tank gear, all from dungeons/Raids. All the tank melee gear from ST besides pants, the list goes on with the new 2.5 dungeons.

There are two questions to answer here. If you plan to farm for desynth fodder, where do you currently want to farm? And, what is your most commonly played class (or classes)?

The vast majority of Allagan gear (the i90 stuff) is ARM. The vast majority of the ST stuff is LTW. Dungeon gear depends on the dungeon, but is often a good mix of the standard classes for the gear. Remember that pants are always (or at least nearly always) one class "lighter" than the rest.

PLD, WAR, and DRG gear is very often ARM desynthable. We can reasonably assume that DRK gear will be as well. If you primarily main one of those classes, ARM is a good plan so you can roll Need on that gear.

BRD, NIN, and MNK gear are often LTW desynthable. Not all of their gear, as some of it is WVR and ARM, but a fair amount is LTW. We can reasonably assume that MCH will be in this category too.

WHM, BLM, SCH, SMN gear are very often WVR desynthable, but sometimes LTW instead (almost never ARM). We can reasonably assume that AST gear will be in this category too.


Of course, there are other factors to consider. LTW is the best class for getting FC3s right now by a long shot. ARM is the third best at getting MCDs (but you have the best (BSM) and second best (GSM), so whatever). And so on.
