I suppose the title of the thread gives it away well enough. We all know a PC benchmark will be released soon, enabling players to fiddle around in the character creator with the new race. What I'm not sure of (Maybe I missed it?) is if console players will get that sneak-peak as well into Au Ra?
I won't pretend to know the logistics of it all, but releasing a character customizer apart from a game, on consoles, has been done before. And it certainly would be nice if we could all get character data set and ready for the expansion.
If anyone could clear this up, I'd be thankful!

I'm interested in this as well. I have a PC which I could use the benchmark on, but seeing as I play on the PS4 it would be mighty handy if I could just create them on there instead of having to switch.

I'm in the same boat, have a PC that could run it, but play on PS4.
It could be pitched as a sort of Demo for the game, so I think it could be done as well.... I just wonder if SE sees it as worth the effort. -

Isn't the purpose of a benchmark is to test the softwares performance or something? To see if your PC runs it smoothly? If that is the case, no. Ps4 doesn't need it and will probably not see it.

There were benchmarks released prior to ARR launch as well and a PS3 version was not made available.
As stated above benchmarks are primarily to test the performance of your PC hardware. Since consoles all use the same hardware, there's generally no reason to release benchmark software on consoles. -
