Okay I am not the sharpest crayon in the box....
I've read the instruction and all that on this "Dev Tag" Thing and just don't get it.
Can someone translate it into Southern USA for me?

here you can see a section of the forum that includes the areas of the game currently in development.
Include the same dev tag in the topic of a thread, if that thread is related to the subject of that tag.
For instance, if i open a thread about public companies, i'll add [dev1034] to my topic, to allow communit representatives to easily identify it.
YOU GOTS TA PUT DEM NUMBERS IN YOUR TREAD FOR THE DEV MAN TO SEE IT, BRANDINE.Quote:

You have to put the 'devtag' in the appropriate box. This box is below the body of the message (when you create a new topic).
Example:
dev1020 (if only one tag)
dev1020,dev1030 (if 2 or more tags)
You can check the various DEV TAGS here:

is it Sad that Sephr's is the one that made the most sense......great thanks for teaching me how to use them guys .....now....
WTF ARE THEY?
The devs use these tags to help them pull up all relevant threads quickly and efficiently relating to a certain topic as classified in their dev section.
By putting [DEV ????] Tacos in the tag section of a post you are in the process of making, it flags it as related to the dev assigned topic area of tacos so when they run a search to quickly grab all feedback on tacos, it will pull in whatever post you made about tacos.
Also, while a great many people are "titling" their topics with dev tags, I hope they're also actually "tagging" their topics with the dev tags (which is the field below the field where you enter the content of your post).
Go to bottom and it says "View Tag Cloud"
When something gets added it will clock up here bigger and bigger the more people who tag it and have a concern with that specific thing.
For example now: dev1032 is pretty big which is "Changes to actions for Disciplines of War & Magic classes"
You can also use words too but for example a Suggestion on Market wards is not the same as Suggestion on DoW
ah so you use the list of dev topic then tag it if your post relates to a topic on that list.....
Why didn't they just say:
"hey guys if your post falls into one of these topics, just add the relevant tag at the bottom please (link of topics list )."
okay.....they did, but .......I am hungry.
