Paladins oath stance it is long over due.

Why is it war can have defiance as a cool down and a short one I might add but paladins sword and shield oath have to share a cd with weapon skills and spells this can make it hard to pass hate in tank swapping situations.

Its time for it to have them to become their own shared cd and it should be done before 3.0 not on not after before.

I mean for crying out loud even monk has a shared cd for fists.

Because WARs 2min OHSHITBUTTON unnecessarily locks them in place in order to allow them to eat all the aoes as they come out of holmgang with 1 hp. I mean if we're going to cry about inquality let's get it all out.

Yea, I'd like to see PLD have their oaths off GCD and not affecting their skillchains.

At the same time, I'd love for WAR to get a berserkers stance to build wrath without the damage loss. Think Defiance but instead of +hp, -damage, +healing; it would be +damage and the ability to build wrath.

Maybe because we actually have an offensive stance, where WAR doesn't
Or because our stance is effective immediatlly, while WAR still needs to build rage to unleash it's full power.
Or even because we can still use all of our skills even without any Oath, whereas WAR is just a glorified Maraudeur without Defiance.

And, by the way, cancelling an Oath doesn't use your GCD, so, if you can't manage stance changing for tank swap, just cancel your Shield Oath.

The CD for defiance is part of WAR design due to its style of mitigation and threat maintenance. Paladin simply switches stances to dps or tank, therefore is a shared cooldown because it's not a on the fly priority ability. The two jobs play nothing alike for this very reason. Yoshi P had stated before that this it's an intended mechanic for WAR

Here's one though, can pld please have an off cool down stun? Shield bash is on the timer, where as war has a stun that's on its own.

PLD can stunlock though. if they took it off the GCD, they'd have to add a 20 second CD to it.

That might make it require tactical sorting of stun in some fights. :3 but as long as PLD CAN stun infinitely it needs something to balance it out. The GCD is currently filling that role.

You're right, at least, our 2min (3, by the way) OHSHITBUTTON allows us to...oh, wait, we don't have a 3 min OHSHITBUTTON

Maybe you did forget that we can stun adds in T5 far more than a WAR can before they build enough resistance.
