A Question On Character Transfers

Hello all,

I'm a returning player from about a year ago who figured he'd bring along some friends for the ride. Unfortunately, about six months back, my old e-mail was hacked and lost, meaning that I have no way I am aware of for recovering my old account. The issue was compounded by the fact that Balmung- the only server I'll ever consider for it's absolutely spectacular community and haven of RP- doesn't appear to be accepting new characters at any given time.

Looking for a way around this, I attempted to make a character transfer, but found that I did not have any "eligible characters."

Could this be related to my characters having only been around for a day or two? Is it still possible to transfer to Balmung under any circumstance?

I know it sounds rash, but if I can't get back in there, I'd rather not even play. :P

There some quest requirements and there's also a restriction on moving to a world that is currently closed.

FWIW, Balmung does open up in the early morning hours of NA time zones. I created a character there at around 5-6 AM EDT (7-8 PM my time).

Ah, I see. I reviewed the restrictions, and will have to try again in a few more days, provided there isn't an opening later in the morning.

How sure are you about this? Everything else I've read says otherwise, going back as recently as January. Has there been a recent change?

Pretty sure, that's what this screenshot says from the Mogstation as of right now:

It's possible that this isn't strictly enforced, but it's written there anyway.

Welp, that would seem rather decisive.

We're at about 6 AM EDT now, and I still haven't had any luck. A little disappointing, but I suppose I'm the one asking for the world. Wish they'd pop up a branded RP server. >.>
