How many threads does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Of course i can only be talking about one of two things terrible server lag or the dreaded alt+tab/lost focus issue (Unable to detect DirectX device).

there are so many "fixes" suggested that do not work, if you know how SLI/Xfire, directx, vsync work (ref: needing to play in window mode) you'll know the only real fix is for SE to get it sorted.

Anyway what i'm looking for is links to posts about this issues (or a "Like" if you're suffering this isse too) and not suggestion on "fixes" in the hopes that the dev team will take this issue seriously, and at least gave us some real information, and not "we'll look into it" that just sounds to me like a "/meh, we'll look in to it maybe".

tbh the whole DirectX problem is just a pain in the ass.
It isn't just from doing alt-tab from full screen that causes it.
In my case I use HDMI to connect to my monitor, so if I turn the monitor off while playing the game it crashes with the DirectX error. (Even in windowed)

I don't like just leaving my monitor on when I go afk but I'm pretty much forced to when I'm playing this =/

I just run the game in windowed mode with a application that makes it a borderless window. I can ALT+TAB all I want, and my game doesn't crash.

I'd rather be able to run the game on max rather than worry about not being able to switch windows. There's no reason for 2xAA to make my system run at 5FPS.

Yes, very much this.. It would be nice if SE thought to implement current technology into their development instead of releasing games which are visually stunning, require mildly beefy graphics cards - and then expect you to connect your gaming rig to your gaming monitor/television using VGA/DVI..

Are the Dev team on vacation? I haven't hear from then in a long time...^_^ I know some of then had a day off. Hope to hear from then soon....
