Poetics cap from 2.5 pt2~3.0. Will it be removed?

Question I'm gonna put out that seems to be rather vague atm but has seemingly fallen under the radar with everything going on and hoping dev's can shed a light on it.

With 2.5 pt 2 releasing at the end of the month its been stated that the weekly loot lock from World of Darkness is removed. The weekly entry limit for the final coil is also being removed. From my understanding both of these instances can be spam farmed for gear once these limits are removed but whats happening with the Poetics cap? Is this going to be removed as well to allow people to complete their remaining sets before 3.0 hits as its been hinted that current poetics gear will be rendered obsolete by the time people reach level 60 when 3.0 releases.

I don't think that the cap should be removed, then you'd see a drastic increase of people complaining that there's 'nothing to do'.

I hope so! I'm atleast happy the WoD weekly lockout will be gone. Now if we could get Encryted Tomestones from it too like they did with ST, it would help immensely. But now I just think Im being greedy :P

Encrypted Tomestones are being added to WoD with 2.55.

Not sure if they should be uncapped yet but I think they should raise the cap to 500 instead of 450 so this way every piece of gear doesn't take 2 weeks (not including accessories and belts.) just seems sorta odd to me that the gloves, boots, and hats take the same amount of time as the top and pants when the top and pants are alot better.

Makes no sense to keep the cap, if coil's loot becomes unlimited.

It's been asked already and there is no official answer yet.
But from the way things have been going, it's a pretty fair assumption that...

- Mythology Tomes will be completely removed (like the old Philosophy Tomes)
- Soldiery Tomes will be for trade-in only (like Mythology is now)
- Poetic Tomes will have their weekly cap removed
- Final Coil of Bahamut drops will have their weekly caps removed
- CT3 drops will have their weekly cap removed
- There will be a new Tome higher than Poetics that will be capped weekly

We can pretty much guess that all of these things are going to happen, it's just a matter of when. Will they happen BEFORE the expansion comes out?
No one knows for sure.

Also, considering Poetics gear was made for LEVEL 50, you can also safely assume that they will become obsolete VERY FAST when the expansion comes out, and you can expect to get at least some i140+ gear before you even reach Level 60!

no point to put bc3 in DF, lift the limitation of loot from WoD and leave the cap.... that a bit.... weird.

I wouldn't say there is no point. By keeping the limit, it would sorta nudge people that normally don't do coil to participate if they want an unlimited source of 130 gear.

Though the most likely scenario is that the cap will be removed.

And then the forum is filled with "FCoB is too hard" threads because players unable to do it don't have an unlimited i130 source. Nerfing FCoB before expansion would also be an insult to FCob players when there is no replacement given in return.
