Please fix this, there is no reason the chat text can't stay when a menu prompt appears, I don't mind having my cursor go to the chat prompt, but deleting the text is unacceptable.

Please fix this, there is no reason the chat text can't stay when a menu prompt appears, I don't mind having my cursor go to the chat prompt, but deleting the text is unacceptable.
This has been a problem forever. In the meantime you can just press the up arrow key to finish what you were typing.
