Question regarding codes for Heavensward

So I saw that people were having issues redeeming their pre-order bonus code. However I was able to redeem mine and I got my early access code, but later on I got an email saying that they re-issued codes for people who were having trouble so now I have a second code, do I redeem this new code or what? (so confused >.<) Also if it helps I ordered the physical collectors edition, but my husband who purchased the digital collectors edition did not get a new code. So was the screw up only on the physical?
