Is there any point to having the timer when crafting? I am not sure if I am missing it's purpose here but I can't see what it actually does other than make you rush messages to friends.
If it is was removed would there be a huge downside that I am not seeing?

What if your stomach goes *GRAHHHHHH* from the bad tacos you ate at a nearby Mexican restaurant in the middle of a syth that is important and the bathroom calls. I would like to not avoid my system just to finish a craft, but I also do not want to lose the mats! O.oQuote:

This has been my single biggest complaint about crafting. You are basically locked into the synthesis for the next minute or two. Eliminating the timer or even adding a pause button would make replying to tells or handling real life emergencies so much easier.

I agree, its very frustrating, i thought at first it was like timer to make you act fast on what you pick, but its not that as i use like 2 skills, and they dont pop up often, i never use rapid or bold so its "Standard>Standard>" constantly until skill pops up, takes me like 1 second of choice, so the whole time element is completely redudent and useless, just there to annoy you.

That 1min feels so very long
