Possibly a way to get the physical Heavensward copy when you have a steam account?

Right so apparently everyone who bought the game has been gypped out of getting a physical copy of the expansion, but I think there is a way to get around that (of course you won't be able to play the game through steam anymore)

From what I have seen there is no mark which separates our account type from the Digital copy, some people buy the game on steam for the overlay + addition to the library when they already have it and give the account code away to a friend and said friend can download the digital copy and play normally.
What I am trying to say is we could probably buy the physical copy and add it to our account then download the digital version of the game and play heavensward, though if you want to carry on using steam with it you will need to buy it on steam (the steam client will probably only work by patching the game with the steam heavensward)

I am hoping this is the case since I really want the physical CE but I don't want to have to shell out twice for the game since my funds are low.

What about our ability to pay through our Steam wallets? They must separated the copies in some way or another so not just anyone could purchase the subscription without the Steam version of the game. I hope you're right though, I'm not willing to purchase the game twice just for the physical bonuses. :(

I was wondering exactly the same, and the fact they even make a dinstinction is just so stupid IMO. In case I can't get the physical copy work with steam, I'll just get the digital steam version and that's it :p
