trail account

My friend download the free trail but every time try to get in game it comes up with an error code and kicks him out. Is their any way to fix it?

Need more info what system is person playing and what is the error name/code.

ok his computer is dell xps 400 system is windows 7 home ed. error code is fatal direct x fault code 40000010

TBH that very low spec for FFXIV ;(. tell your friend to go to nvidia site and download the new divers for his video card which is 7800GTX. If that does not work tell your friend to download DX that would work with Windows 7.

But i'm pretty sure he can't play FFXIV with that spec the video card is only 256MB and he only have 1GB of ram. Even if he could play on the lowest setting it may be unplayable. He may have to get PS4 version or buy a new pc sadly that way too old of a hardware.

Unless he added more RAM and got himself a better video card for that system.

TBH i would say for him to get a ps4 it does not seem worth upgrading that PC. But that up too him at the end and if he have the funds. To A buy a ps4 or B build his own pc for way less then a ps4 that could run FFXIV without issue.
