I've noticed that mudras done with no network connectivity are very fast, so would it be at all possible to have the mudra combinations be handled client-side, and only have the Ninjutsu information sent to network? As far as I can tell, 1 skill(Ninjutsu) being dependant on network response would cause far less high-latency/packet loss problems than 2-4 skills(Jin, Ten, Shi, and Ninjutsu).
or make mudra's have 0.00001 cool down so it actually acts like it's fast when people cast it.
It actually IS very fast, it's typically latency that makes it seem slow. Anything higher than 50 ping slows it more than it should be.
It's actually not based off the user more so it is the servers. You'll notice it'll almost cast instantly within WoD due to the fact that they have specific servers for the instances, so they receive quicker response times due to the small amount of people within a server. Where as in the open world, they tend to delay an additional .5 seconds to cast. I play with 23 ping and I still can get up to 1-1.5 second mudras.
Sounds like latency spikes to me, and would still be solved by client-side mudras, I believe.
I would suggest maybe using Leatrix Latency Fix(windows script, not a third-party addon) and using PingPlotter to see if your connection to your server spikes at all, just to make sure.
