Little over 1 month of inactivity and XIV demoted me in my FC :( Could use some help.

Hello, Around the 17th of jan 2015 i when offline due to life becoming more of a priority. And then on 11th of march 2015 i resub my account. login and find me in my FC at the lowest rank... and all the members in there have been inactive for the longest time... IDK what happened but i spent a lot of gil and time + effort to get the hand me down FC i own to its current status. Im really saddened by this. Im sure theres a way to fix this but the only way i can is if the current Master assigned ever comes back online... Im sure theres proof of me being the owner somewhere in the XIV server logs and DB's. On the FC page and on my pf page on the lodestone it shows me as the master for more than 1 year...

If you're the only active character, leadership will be passed back to you automatically.

I think it takes 35 days from the current leader's last login.

After some time offline (i think it was one month) leadership will fall to the highest ranking active member.
So if you are the only active member right now and the current leader is not comming back before his offline time reaches this Point you will be assigned leader again.

When you were the head of the FC one of the safeguards to prevent an FC from being leaderless (noone with max permissions) you were removed as head of the FC.

The current head of the FC is he/she logs on at least once a month will remain the FC head.

The only way to fix it would be to contact the current FC head when they are on and request elevation of permission back to the head.
IF you are Ok with lower permissions any of the 2nd in command could promote you to have general access to everything.

Of course the same rules apply to the current head of the FC, if that person does not log in for at least a month then the new head will be appointed from those that are most active, automatically.

Based on the way they set it up over a year ago, I don't see SE kicking out the current head (who did play) to put you back in place (who left the FC headless for a month)

As a community leader myself, might I suggest next time if you need to step away from your responsibilities for a while, make arrangement before hand. If you needed to leave the game you should have selected someone in your absence to run things and then been in contact with them should they need to them step away as well. It amazes me that some communities are run as little more then a chat room.

Well, now I'm coming up with a plan to combat this in my own FC, since I'm the only one currently active in almost (more than?) a year. I'm thinking of creating a second character who will automatically become the head if I fail to login (like during the 3 month lull before expansion though I doubt I'll miss even one day of dailies) and make them a Fallback Leader that can re-promote my main character back up even if something goes wrong and someone else gets leader.

Now, since my main character would be the next most active, would the leadership just juggle between the two even I take a year off myself and assuming none of my other friends login to have a look while I'm gone?

If you're not logging on in one character, wouldn't you not log in with the second? Leadership doesn't pass until someone who can take it logs in. If the entire FC is inactive, leadership doesn't pass.
