Can accessories please be limited to jobs that benefit from it?

For example, let str/dex accessories be unequippable for mages and let int gear be unequippable for dps etc.

I've seen so many healers equip dex gear just to bypass ilvl requirements and hinder the group as a whole that it's not even funny.

"Let me sacrifice my gear that already has low stats I could use for stats that don't benefit me at all just so I can enter this instance."

Like I get it's useful for bypassing ilvl requirements but if someone can't pull their own weight to get through certain mechanics (DPS checks, heal/MP heavy fights) then it's hindering more than helping.

*Just to clarify:
Tanks can wear Vit/Str/Dex/Pie No Int
DPS can wear Vit/Str/Dex/Pie No Mnd
Healers can wear Vit/Mnd/Int/Pie No Str/Dex
Casters can wear Vit/Int/Mnd/Pie No Str/Dex

Honestly, while I can see the annoyance of dealing with the few who will equip any useless trinket the benefits outweigh the cons in this particular case. For example, on certain fights it may be beneficial to equip a few VIT accessories to add to your HP pool, and the benefits when spiritbonding are exhaustively long.

If they lock these things down to particular jobs, it would cause more problems than it would solve. Thankfully, people who equip rubbish gear just to bypass level requirements are in a very small minority.

Well every job can benefit from Vit, that can be useful to all jobs.
I'm talking about Monks wearing int gear etc.

Or you could just meld job appropriate pieces with VIT if it's that important- Spiritbond in job appropriate accessories?

I'd co-sign this. It's crazy what some people will do to cheat the iLV gate. Not even a few days ago, a DRG was in a DF group with me in WP (HM) with VIT accessories instead of STR. It took several tries to get past Frumious Koheel Ja (The tank and I were pretty much the only ones taking out the spears). Thankfully he d/c'd and a Ninja with proper stat gear replaced him.

Sounds like less of a gear problem and more of a problem that the dragoon didn't take out the adds.

I already do this. I'd be fine with that. Especially if it increased the profitability.

I think there's a better solution for when someone causes a problem by bypassing ilvl restrictions. It's called "Vote Dismiss" and it already exists.

It's great because it solves the problem when it's a problem and people can still do the same thing when it's not a problem. People beat algorithm when it comes to making this distinction.
