Pro tip: Tell me you're new to a dungeon /rant

No, I am not psychic. No, I don't assume that because you're poorly geared that you are new. No, the message at the beginning does not tell me that there are multiple new people.

Yes, you should have responded when I asked in the beginning who's new.

If you do not tell me you're new; expect a speed run and understand that I expect you to understand the dungeon.

Now, tell me that you're new and I will ALWAYS pull slowly and I'll make sure you don't get lost.

Good luck with your speed run that you're trying to force on new mute players :confused:.

When you see that first timer message. You KNOW someone is new. Does it matter who?

Not true. People do run alts, that will give that same message.

You're doing this backwards. Never ever assume a speed run.

If you want to do a speed run check 2 main things.
Was there a newbie bonus?
Check the gear levels.

If your party fails any of the above criteria, just don't bother speed running it's as simple as that.

As for people not responding to you when asked if they are new, well yeah that falls on them.

Not really, I would say the safer bet is they are on PS3 with no keyboard, or they simply don't speak the same language.

There's really not much reason for alts in this game.

If I ended up in a new dungeon with you and you asked if I was new I would say yes... assuming you didn't ask me in French or Bulgarian or something, don't assume everyone speaks English dude.

It doesn't matter who is new. Why the hell would you assume "SPEEDRUN HO!" The game tells you that they're new. What you do is ask, "Know what to do for this boss?"

And no one should ever be doing speedruns without checking someone's gear.

You -always- assume they are new unless they say "I got it."
