So...who the hell are these gold sellers? They're creepers now?

It seems like there's a a lot of them. Right now, I have over 24 on them blacklisted and it might get a lot bigger. Surprisingly, two of them actually addressed my character's name and wanted to have a chat with me and another addressed me as "friend." I know these guys are annoying, but I didn't think they'd be creepy, too. After this, I'm led to believe these aren't bots.

I emoted a slap and doubt on one of them and he jump around in the same spot. He was a Elezen lvl 1 MRD.

They have a simple copy paste to put your name into the message. its nothing personal, its just a design ploy.

Also, most of them are designed to mimic an action like jumping while doing so, to not look afk.

just wait for the ones that friend request you, so you actually have to go deny and delete the request before you can even black list them lol

Ignore them or blacklist them, the filter will probably boot them out of the game.

They're bots. It's like a program playing a program.

They're selling Real Money Trading, like 79 dollars for 20,000k gil. It's illegal and banned in any MMOs out there.

If you see a person with a strange name, asdjg amdea, or something, they're bots. For sure.

The illegal program actually parses the name from a large list and just throws it into wherever the variable is located in the message body.

Before I just turned off my tells, I had a full 200 blacklist (Most of them didn't show "Deleted" most likely because I was AFK for a few years.)

Make sure to report any bot you see so SE can take action.

My character's name is Selli, which has the word sell in it. Which goldbots seem to think means "SELL ME GOLD PLS" 'cause I get 25-50 whispers a day. I have to empty out my blacklist weekly, lol. QwQ

This is why u just don't add them, I save my blist for ppl that actually need to be on it

The rmt are most likely only going to be on for that one day only anyways

If it gets spammy can just set /busy and still chat in my fc/ls's and on voice chat
