Please help - Upgrading to PS4

Hi

Just recently i got PS4. I followed the instruction in Mogstation and got a product code and uploaded character details on PS3. The problem, I messed up and downloaded FFXIV-ARR client from PSN Games(same 11.3GB) instead of having the upgrade version. I clicked on PS3-->PS4 in the launcher to restore character settings and it was saved successfully. Note that I have the collectors edition.

After i logged in successfully, the game is starting like first time play, asking data center selection ..etc. I tried using the upgrade code in SEN (also 11.3GB) to download the upgrade version. When i tried to download, it gave me that code is already used. I removed the whole client from the library and still it gives used code and cant download it.

What do you advise?

Sounds as if you did it all right the first time. I had to select the data centre before I could log in to my world. If you got to the main menu then all was correct.
check your purchase history in the psn to re-download the client.

Thanks A'rron, could it be that selecting the data center was normal, when i saw the scene cut i freaked out and had to close it immediately... So your saying that you can resume to your same profile even after you select data center and start same play?

Yup, because the client is starting for the very first time you get stuck watching the fmv, you then have to select your data centre from the main menu. I had to anyway, so assume it's the case for everyone. It only happened on initial launch though. Loads right to the main menu -> character selection now.

Thanks again, well I have 8 hours to try it out :) Even though the instructions were colorful and nearly spoon-feeding but as being new to PS4, I never thought that the upgrade codes is used to download the client. I thought that the client open in PS store is eligible and the product code is entered through the launcher itself. Its my bad eventually.

Yep! Its acting like you're playing for the first time, but don't worry! Everything's there. Just select your Data Center and everything should be there :3.
