I was at the panel and it didn't come up at all. Our only chance is that some interview from PAX that hasn't been published yet might have some info. I also remember reading somewhere that they are planning on releasing a new frontlines map with Heavensward, but this wasn't new from PAX.
We usually get PvP-info-sniped tbh.
If we get anything new for 2.55, we'll probably get it in the early patch notes release before anywhere else.
Yep, new FL map for Heavensward, new map for Wolves' Den, 8v8 Wolves' Den, as well as a Wolves' Den season, and possibly a Wolves' Den World Championship.

All the info for this is towards the bottom of the page.
Edit: Of course none of this stuff is very new. This was announced back in October 2014.
Here's something new...

At launch of Heavensward, we will have a new Frontline battle, with a new map and new rules. It will continue to be Grand Company based, but while before each Grand Company would start at a select location and the map, in Heavensward we will see a randomized starting location which will impact play. Armor rewards associated with Frontlines will also be updated. After that point they will update the Wolves Den.
It will continue to be gc based...new maps will only help for what the first week? srsly SE listen to every single person in this game REMOVE GC
Good stuff, a little disappointing that it's still GC restricted but i'm excited about the new map and wolves den update in the future.
Yep, i really don't get what's up with this they seem to do a fairly good job of listening to the community for a lot of other aspects in the game, but for the PvP community they're mute, not even a single sentence even acknowledging they know we think it's an issue..
Also worried that the new FL map will just be another 72man one that will leave the current ones completely empty, which i'm betting it will be.
If it's GC 'based' but with rules that let us represent GC's other than our own, I'd be fine with that. If it continues to be GC restricted in the sense it is now, I'm done with PVP and that's a shame because I had some really good times there for awhile. The GC restriction ruins the experience for people who want to do well and succeed, but aren't in the dominant GC on their server and so can only battle with the same mix of players on their side, and the same mix on the opposing side. And a rank 45 player doing a GC swap penalizes the player in terms of lost rank/reward, and it also further polarizes the community as the group of people dedicated to winning (even with longer queue times) gains a skilled player, and the GC they leave in losing them has a higher proportion of 'Don't tell me how 2 play m8, I didn't come here to kill drones, I'm just here for the Soldiery for my relic' people.
I don't know why we can't get more info on the future of the GC restriction, its clearly got a lot of people upset. I would have a more positive outlook if I knew our concerns were being listened to and somethung was being done to address this. It's the main reason queues don't fill quickly; and with people having their teammates & opponents locked into the same pool, it means experienced players who arent in the dominant GC queue less out of frustration.... I'm not going to queue over and over just to get farmed by players with the benefit of a consistently stronger alliance. The blame isn't on the teams who are winning, it's on a system that ensures the winning and losing teams are formed out of seperate, distinct pools of players.
