As I've rarely broken a million gil my chances of owning a house at the moment are really slim. What if you bought the house on a kind of credit system, you pay a deposit which allows you to put downa few furniture items and the more you pay off the more items you are allowed to place. Eventually once you've paid off your house you could move up a tier and upgrade and start again.
If your main class is Goldsmith 50, how come you've never made a million gil before? I was able to contribute about 10 million to our FC's housing fund last fall. Perhaps it's different on your server, but level 40+ goldsmithing accessories sell for an arm and a leg on Lamia, and they sell fast.
I never have an issue and and that is just doing dailies and maps.

They have this already, it's right outside the gates of Nald in Uldah.
That would be a small housing plot.
Glamour Prisms sell well. And they're incredibly easy to make.
Used to make 50-150k a day making/selling about 20-30 of them each day. I don't anymore cause i cant be bothered :P
Considering the mortgages would probably be handled in Ul'dah, you'd get raked over the coals on the interest.
There is no reason anyone can't make a million in this game.
I consider myself poor in this game and I've been up to 5.5mil. :P
