With all the aetherite everywhere and it having such an influence on the world as well as being a power source, we need a job(s) that use Aetherite!

Aether(Crystal) Mage
Gear and weapons would be crystalline in appearance and harbor mystical properties. Custom dye the armor for different color for different gems.

I know this wont be for some time to come, and I'm ok with that but please seriously consider it!i came across this site a while ago and it screams be put in the game!

I would totally love it, and it would play perfectly into the lore of the game anyway!

sure but remember you be using your own Aether if you use the earth Aether you killing the mother crystal. Main reason why SMN have such a sad primal EGI is we don't have enough Aether to summon a full primal that we can keep under our control.

This could be the byproduct of dead Aetherite. Minor infusion for effect maybe?

The smell of the Inner and Outer Senshi is quite strong. Or is it just me?

We already have a class that benefits directly from aether: arcanist. If you are familiar with the summoner relic storyline, the crystal at the top of the (original) relic book is meant to help you channel aether more efficiently. It doesn't actually do this, but it's the lore purpose for that crystal. Also, if you look at the scholar zodiac weapon, they also have a crystal. We raise our book in the air when we use aetherflow, as well. Although the power we use itself is not in crystal form, there is already a class that functions based on aether alone. Similarly, all of our offensive abilities are unaspected -- pure aether.

I forget what the lore is for SCH fairies, but SMN pets are created by drawing upon aether as well. The size of the egis is explained through the power of the wielder -- we can only safely gather so much for ourselves. Primals, fueled by crystals and reverent beast tribes, develop a mind of their own... and disobey their 'summoners'. Our egis won't do that, because they are a manageable size. It's all very interesting lore, which I thought you may have wanted to know. :)

SCH fairy was Depressing Tonberry's waifu from back when he was a Lalafell. Eos is her dere dere side and Selene is her tsun tsun side.

Love (totally adore tbh) the idea, but it would never happen.
