why are there cards in these packs that are NOT exclusive to the pack? every card you put in there that is NOT exclusive, makes the pack less and less valued.

Not really with the low % of the cards that are exclusive to it they have a ton of value. Also, if people don't want to grind certain cards they can just buy packs first and then they don't have to grind those certain NPCs/Trials.
I've bought alot of Bronze for their exclusive cards. Bought a ton of Silver Packs just completing their collection. And I'm still buying alot of Gold Packs trying to get my last card from it.
I would of liked it if every mob in the game had a 10% chance of dropping their version of a card, each new piece of content SE normally adds also comes with new mobs so would continue to have more to collect over time. Cards which do not have mobs in this game would be gotten through a combination of quests, tournaments, achievements, maybe frontlines and hunt marks, card packs and low % chance drop rate within NPC battles. You would end up with duplicate stats on some cards but the design/artwork and name of card would be different which would still make them desired as collectables and we are going to have duplicates anyways stat wise in time unless they plan to stop giving people cards to collect in the near future.
