Is there any % drop rate on Triple Triad NPCs rewards?! I mean, if a NPC has 3 different cards as a reward, have they the same percentage drop? Is completly random? OR the MOS RARE CARDS HAVE A MINIMUM DROP RATE?!
Same for the Gold and Silver Triad Card you buy in Golden saucer NPC.
Golden one has 8 posible rewards, 2 legendary cards included: Have they the same posibility to drop?!

There are no listed numbers, but from personal experience and hearing stories from others, I am pretty sure the higher-star the card is, the lower the chances of acquiring it.
The legendary cards from the Gold pack, as you call them, are not only 5-star, but they're 5-star with silver borders, which imo makes them closer to a 6-star rarity. This essentially means that those same Legendary cards are actually rarer than their normal bronze-bordered 5-star counterparts.
tl;dr: The rarer the card, the rarer it is to drop. -

Well there is no such thing as truly/completely random in as far as computer generated numbers go. They are all designed to mimic as close as possible to such but to date I do not think any has perfected it. The cards all have a drop % chance but you must remember that every single time beat the NPC it is still that same % chance so no matter how many times you beat it depending on your own luck you may or may not ever get it. Based on my best guess I would assume the chance of winning the legendary/collectors cards from those packs is very low, what I am certain of though is those cards are not the same % chance as the rest of the cards within the packs. I would be surprised if the drop % chance of for example Zidane or Warrior of Light is any higher than 1-5% and I would guess it is actually towards the lower end of that estimate.

03-06-2015, 05:27 AMWelsper59That's the nature of RNG, which is why a VERY large pool of players outcomes needs to be added to a statistic in order to determine even a remotely accurate drop rate percentage. It is probably safe to say though that 5 star cards are a single digit drop chance, given how frequently you'd come across different people failing to get Bahamut and, especially, Gaius. I got around 14 Godberts before Bahamut dropped. Likewise, I've gotten well over 80 Livia/Rhit and 30 Nero cards from Indolent Soldier, still no Gaius. Granted though, I've won way more frequently against him than King.Quote:

I feel like it could(probably not) be related to the amount of people playing that NPC as well. For instance I've beat Elmer over 800 times and gotten 0 drops from him; and no I'm not exaggerating 800 times. I've got a handful(read: 50~) wins each on the other popular NPC's also with 0 drops. In fact the only time I've recieved a drop with less then 50 wins is when I'm at an npc with no one or 1-2 people there.
Of course that's completely anecdotal and while I do keep track of my own progress; I can't tell the legitimacy of what other people are reporting. A good friend of mine has been just as unlucky as I have with drops(around 2k wins total; only recieved 8 cards 3 of which were duplicates).
So the RNG for drop rate has to be extremely low and thus why so many people are experiencing long droughts. -
03-06-2015, 06:03 AMWelsper59/sigh... I really should get around to reaching the 60 card quota and get the Scion cards (only Waifulia and Tataru so far). It's kind of annoying to have little option but to draw when he throws Nero down as the 2nd or 3rd card (or uses it before he uses Gaius) while using the Beastmen setup. I don't mind the void of the Gaius drop too much from my wins since I could always use more MGP, especially considering I dabble with racing feeds and trying for gold pack cards from time to time.Quote:
