Question about Summoner relic.

I'm finishing up my first Zodiac Zeta weapon and I'm thinking about doing one for Summoner. My question is: What secondary stats do people find most useful to put on their relic? I'm guessing acc, Det, and Crit. Have people tried putting skill and spell speed as extra stats?

Skill speed is useless to casters.
Spell speed is useless to summoners.

I just wondered because things I've been reading say that skill speed affects Ifrit and spell speed affects Garudas auto attacks.

These stats DO affect your pets damage; however, your pet only supplies a small portion of your DPS. The majority of your damage comes from DoT effects (Miasma, Bio, and Bio 2) Spell speed DOES NOT affect your DoT's in ANY way. That is why it is considered a bad stat on SMN.

As far as relic weapon stats go, Acc/Det/Crit are the most common due to:
1) SMN having to meet higher Acc requirements than BLM (even though gear is shared)
2) Det and Crit are both vastly superior to Spell Speed
3) Cost - Acc materia is very cheap compared to Crit and Det

SMN Stat Weights:
WD: 6.57
INT: 1
CRT: 0.211
DET: 0.283
SS: 0.094

This table shows that 1 SS is worth LESS THAN HALF of 1 CRT. That should be enough info for you right there

Do everything you can to avoid Spell Speed on SMN gear. It has extremely poor DPS returns.

Just go full Crit / Det and never look back. There's enough acc on gear to give you all the acc you will ever need.

You have 2 remember not everybody have enough gil sink for tier 4 materias.

Your avatar confused the hell out of me. I thought your mount was in the pic but then I remembered that the choco-head is a thing.

As for stats OP, heres what I put on my relic, 33 critical, 23 det, and 19 accuracy.
