Useless menus, WHY do we have to click yes for this?
Why are keys even a thing? As soon as the enemies die, just open the doors.
But what if there are monsters behind the door? I can't wait for the day I can go Gonzo on my party.

Player interaction with dungeons. What a concept. Granted, opening doors is about the most basic you could go with the concept.. but it's something.
I suspect it's to deter/slow botting. Not really as prevalent these days I guess, but making a force interaction will keep the scripts from being able to just run through the place.
...that or immersion, whatever works for you.
I think there's about two dungeons in the game where you might actually not want to - Tam-tara normal and I believe Haukke normal both have doors that, once unlocked, will generally cause the mobs right behind it to immediately come after you.
That said yes it's so frequently redundant.
I'd very much love for those confirmation windows to be removed. Playing from Europe, clicking the door always gives me a second of delay, then shows the confirmation window which I'll confirm, only to have another second of delay before my character actually starts opening the door. It's very annoying.
It seems to be a common theme with Japanese games where you're faced with useless confirmation prompts for almost everything. Not unique to XIV
