What is the point of having element potions and ethers?! For one, they are inferior to the normal potion and ether, respectively. Secondly if they are going to be stuck at giving such LOW amounts of HP/Mana could the recast timer to lowered? HP 200/180 (45 sec) MP 50/40 (2 min?)

Sadly, I think the answer to this is: "We did it so you could make pick which shard type to use in your potion! We wanted to name them all the same thing, but if we did that, then it would have been impossible to discern which recipe you were selecting without digging deeper into the menus!"
Note: I just made that up, but it's probably accurate. Yes, they suck and your elemental affinity does not affect them in any way.
To be entirely honest, even the regular 50HP potions aren't worth the time it takes to go into your menu to use (though I guess you could make a macro to use it). They're all just vendor-trash to me. -

I'm not even concern about the names anymore. I would prefer they severally reduce the recast timers on potion and ether or up potions and ethers to 300/280 nq and 200/180 nq respectively--b/c 200/180 HP and 50/40 MP isn't cutting it at all; more so the ether. Those ethers are useless even to a rank 2 thm ( a whole two Sacrifice and some change)

just take away the cooldown, or put it 5 seconds or something ... dont copy wow by making us not able to use our stuff. Remember old ff games? we stacked on potions to survive, here we use one every 2 minutes, then end up putting em on bazar for 100 gil each or vendor them ...
