Linking Items in Chat on PS4

So I'm sure this is a really dumb question, but it's something I've evidently been too dumb or short-sighted to find:

I'm currently playing on PS4 with a controller and keyboard. I was curious on how I go about linking an item in my chat so that others can mouse over the item and see it? I've gotten a few items over the last year of playing that I've had questions about, but didn't know how to properly link the item in chat to help with answers.
