[Suggestion] Gamepad macros

Hi, I just started playing a couple of weeks ago and making the jump from playing XI to XIV playing with a gamepad like many in my LS and some on these forums have done. Asides issues with targeting which if I read correctly are being addressed with a new UI at some point in the future I would like to make a suggestion.

If this has been made before and I didn't see it then I am sorry for double posting.

I would like to see a user option via a on/off menu to make the Alt and Ctrl buttons on a gamepad sticky (hit alt or ctrl macro button on the gamepad and that macro set stay open until a macro is selected and confirmed or canceled).

If I recall correctly this was available in XI. I know some people around here are venomously anti XI+XIV but this adjustment in my opinion would macros much easier on a few of us gamepad users.
