Monks should be be miles ahead of the competition in terms of DPS in Shiva EX...

...after all, what better way is there to melt the ice queen that with <Fists of Fire>?

By burning the ice, as it is really cold there, the ice that melt, start to freeze again (and really fast), your forearm's getting trap into the ice, with no chance of pushing back your arms and your flamed fists.

Monk should be stunlocked by using <Fists of fire>.

Why do the DPS run from Shiva when she do that aoe early in the fight?

I think <Fire I> <Fire II> <Fire III> and <Flare> would melt ice faster

Because youre not hitting with your bare fists. Youre hitting with fist weapons gimping your dps.

Ummm.... Blackmage would like to have a word -_-

I think even Katon would do better than Fists of Fire.

Do you mean when she does hailstorm? As this attack does more damage if the circles around the players overlap etc so everyone is suppose to spread.

I believe she is talking about the first icicle impact in phase 1 where dodging the one hit and stopping dps gives no gain at all.

My BLM does a number on Shiva Ex. Especially since I can still attack her from afar while avoiding aoes.
