What's the point of Drake Skin, Aldgoat Skin, or the myriad of other items that don't have uses either? I think these items exist merely for future recipes. Though I will agree that it is quite odd to get a useless item as the result of a high-quality synth.
its somewhat depressing to have hope for this stuff (who knows they may throw it out on the revamps) lol.. ah well. its a few more gil in my pocket.. i wait the day for the leathers to have more use. i really do!
There is use for these items... if you look hard enough you'll find a troll face on all of them.
They are simply there to piss you off.
