Leveling in Heavensward
While i in the process of lvl-ing all classes i start to wonder if in heavensward there will be same amount of time needed to level 50-60 as in vanila 1-50??
If yes then in case someone dont lvl all classes earlier or simply start the game in Heavensward it will be like double work to do, ind if someone start play Heavensward and want all classes bring from 1-60...... :/
If someone play FFXI can share how that looks like in this previous SE mmo? (i know that FFXI got few rxpansions)

I doubt 50-60 will take as long as 1-50. Could be wrong but I doubt it.

I don't know...but don't think XI is a good comparison. So different in so many ways.

1-50 leveling speed might be easier too, we don't know yet, they might increase roulette bonus and all, I doubt it will be as long as leveling from 1-50.

personally i hope it takes a while but not a gruesome grind lol they have to make it atleast abit timeconsuming so u cant max most classes at 60 in a week ;/

I expect it to be quite easy to level based on how the game works. XP scales in XIV. SO even if it is 2.5million xp expect to see those fates giving you 100k-150k xp per gold. Aka to level from 30=>31 in XIV it required the same time commitment more or less as 49=>50.
In XI your XP increased based on level. In the end it ended up being an exponential grind which was eventually lowered to make it easier. I believe levels 70-75 was the same xp as 1-70 at one point. XI now they throw xp at you at rates that makes the leveling in XIV seem like a nightmare grind so I will not reference Post-Abysea XI. Old XI XP did not scale. You were getting 250-300xp a kill at level 15 and you are getting 300xp a kill at level 74. So each level took longer to obtain, especially pre-ToAU expansion.
I expect an hour per level or so at the max in XIV. So maby 10-12 hours per class to get it to cap from 50.

I dont think lvling will be the longest part. They said that the story will be almost as long as vanillas. ( im not sure where i read this) so im assuming 50-60 will be decent but the story past 60 will be long.

the question is more, what it's important into a mmorpg, the leveling part or what come after?

Will take....
Three months :P
kidding aside.
Seeing as they say the xpac will be as big as launch 2.0. I can envision it taking about the same time as 1-50 which, to be honest is pretty fast anyways.
Also 2.0 had multiple zones at the same level range from the 3 city states. Whether that will be same *shrugs* or each zone increasing in level range we will have to see.

With a raised level cap, I think we would have all those level 50 dungeons give EXP by then.
