First off, sorry if this in in the wrong forum and if my question has been asked a million times. i searched and didn't see it. Anyway.....My Forager's Hat and forager's Dolabra are not gaining in spiritbond. Is that normal for those items? Thank You.
It very much depends on what it is that you're gathering. Even if you gather tons and tons and tons of low level items, you won't see any spiritbond gain on your very high level items. If you're gathering from high level/unspoiled nodes, though, it could just be very slow due to limited numbers.
I am usually gathering the nodes. It's been well over a week since I've obtained these items and they still show 0% spiritbond. But your answer gives me hope that they will eventually gain in that area. thanks.
I've had my Forager's Hat for months and it's not gone past 1% spiritbond.
You can't convert it anyway so there's no point.
oh ok. and i suppose I cant gear up my retainer with it since its untradeable? i was thinking of obtaining a 2nd one for my retainer if it was possible.
I believe retainers can wear it. Untradeable only means you can't give it to other players.
You can put any gear on your retainer that you can equip yourself. The only exception is GC gear, because your retainer doesn't belong to a GC.
you can def pass both of those items to retainers aswell as any other gear including class items like supra and lucis.
it is a little odd they havnt allowed spirit bonding on those items yet since obviously you can bond the new same ilvl crafted gear. although probs not the traded gear.
but considering the effort it takes to get these would you really convert them.??
Ehhh why not? You still go to umbral rocks to get the soil anyway.. so you might as well get the rocks when you're there. I'd rather desynth them though.

My Fourager's Hat anf Fishing Rod - are "No", craft analogs with sb=0 - too.
So, it's not interesting which amount of sb they have, zero and 99% are similair - you will never get materia )
